Frey’s annual Mammoth trip has historically showcased all sorts of outrageous behavior. This time around, our wives were able to join us and I think it resulted in a calmer, gentler getaway. It snowed for two straight days and we scored some epic conditions. I often wonder why I paid the extra money for 4WD, but conditions like these remind me why it is useful. Conditions like these are also highly frustrating when your 4WD refuses to work and you are forced to hitchhike back to town to purchase $150 chains.
